Is it permissible for a person to complete the recitation of the Qur'an on behalf of another person if that person is illiterate and does not know how to read?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Is it permissible for a person to complete the recitation of the Qur'an on behalf of another person if that person is illiterate and does not know how to read?

The Shaykh : The best thing for this person who knows how to read and wants to complete the recitation for another person is that it is best for him to sit with him to teach him, so that there is reward for everyone in that.

The questioner : Yes.

The Shaykh : As for completing the recitation of the Qur'an for him, this leads to the second person becoming negligent in learning the Qur'an and saying, "Since this man will complete the recitation of the Qur'an for me, that is sufficient for me." Therefore, this door should not be opened. Rather, as I mentioned earlier, it is best to teach this illiterate person the Book of Allah so that he may obtain the reward of teaching. Yes.
