I intended to perform Hajj and I want to go to Madinah for a certain purpose, and I want to travel to my country from there. Should I enter the state of ihram with the pilgrims of Madinah or with those coming from Riyadh?

The questioner : I reside in Riyadh, and I ask Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) to make it easy for me to perform the obligatory Hajj once I have completed the Hajj procedures. I want to go to Madinah because I have some items I want to leave with my relatives in Madinah, if Allah wills. I want to travel to my country from there. Should I enter the state of ihram with the pilgrims of Madinah or with those coming from Riyadh? May Allah reward you with good.

The Shaykh : We do not know whether the questioner will go to Madinah directly or via Madinah.
If that is the case, he should enter the state of ihram from the miqat of the people of Madinah, which is Dhul-Hulayfah, known as Abwar 'Ali. However, if he wants to go via the route from Riyadh to Ta'if, he should enter the state of ihram from al-Qarn al-Manazil, the miqat of the people of Ta'if and the people of Najd. Then he should perform 'Umrah, and then proceed to Madinah. This is the detailed answer to his question: if he wants to go to Makkah via Madinah, he should enter the state of ihram from Dhul-Hulayfah, which is called Abwar 'Ali. And if he wants to go from Riyadh to Ta'if, or to Makkah via Ta'if, he should enter the state of ihram from al-Qarn al-Manazil, which is known as al-Sayl al-Kabir.
