Is it derived from the fact that if a man does not find what to give as a bridal gift to the woman, that he does not borrow?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Is it derived from the hadith that if he does not find anything ... to give to the woman, that he does not borrow?

The Shaykh : Yes, it is derived from it that it is better not to borrow, and that is the case. And Allah the Exalted said in the Qur'an:
But let them who find not [the means for] marriage abstain [from sexual relations] until Allah enriches them from His bounty. وَليَستَعفِفِ الَّذينَ لا يَجِدونَ نِكاحًا حَتّى يُغنِيَهُمُ اللَّهُ مِن فَضلِهِ
[An-Nur 24:33]
And Allah (Mighty and Majestic) did not guide to borrowing, and likewise the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) here in this hadith.
Many people have borrowed and they do not have what to pay it back with. So when the debt comes due, they are demanded to pay it, so they borrow again, and the debts accumulate upon them, and their joy in the marriage returns to sadness, and their happiness becomes distress. For this reason, a person should be patient and save, saving as the common people say, the qirsh before the riyal, until he accumulates. But if borrowing is easy for him and he borrows fifty thousand for the marriage and ... with the debt one hundred thousand, because most people do not have mercy when they see that he is weak and do not expect him to pay, they increase the price for him, selling him what is worth fifty for one hundred, and he borrows one hundred thousand.
If he becomes accustomed to debt, it becomes easy for him and he starts to borrow for the smallest thing, and then the debts accumulate upon him. But if he restrains himself and is chaste, as Allah (Mighty and Majestic) said, and he strives to save and not be negligent with money, then it will not pass except a short time until Allah makes it easy for him. Yes.

The questioner : Three.

The Shaykh : Three? Very well.
