How is the hadith of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) seeing the Messiah al-Dajjal while he is circumambulating the House reconciled?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Shaykh, may Allah reward you... The second hadith is... in the House, then he said... the Messiah al-Dajjal.

The Shaykh : Yes.

The questioner : It seems he mentioned the man who is circumambulating the House.

The Shaykh : Yes.

The questioner : So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Who is this?" And it was said, "The Messiah al-Dajjal."

The Shaykh : Yes.

The questioner : ... the House.
Another questioner: Does Shaykh Ibn Hajar mention this?

The Shaykh : We mentioned it yesterday; we answered it; we answered it yesterday.

The questioner : The circumambulation of the Messiah.

The Shaykh : Except for the circumambulation of the Messiah.

The questioner : Al-Dajjal.

The Shaykh : Yes, regarding the Messiah al-Dajjal, we answered it.

The questioner : ... .

The Shaykh : Fine, mention it; perhaps he will return.

The questioner : ... .
"A reading from Fath al-Bari by Ibn Hajar"
The reader: "He said, and in it is an indication that al-Dajjal does not enter al-Madinah or Makkah in the time of his emergence, and by that he did not mean denying his entry in the past. And in the book of Imam al-Nawawi, al-Nawawi's commentary, Qadi Iyad said that he means the time of his trial... ".
The student: ... .

The Shaykh : ... then we also raised an issue, which is the saying of the Messenger
None of those who are on the face of the earth today will remain at the end of one hundred years; none of those who are on the face of the earth today will remain لا يبقى على رأس مائة سنة لا يبقى على وجه الأرض ممن هو عليها اليوم أحد
and we also answered this issue.

The questioner : ... .

The Shaykh : Yes.

The questioner : ... but.

The Shaykh : How?

The questioner : ... .

The Shaykh : We answered it.

The questioner : The circumambulation, O Shaykh.

The Shaykh : Yes, indeed.

The questioner : ... .

The Shaykh : We said that if the circumambulation is literal, meaning he saw it literally, then the negation is the negation of entering Makkah and al-Madinah after his emergence for the trial by which people are tested. But we raised an issue: if this is literal, that he saw him circumambulating the House literally, while the Messenger informed that he will die from the face of the earth, and we said that perhaps this is by way of representation, meaning it was represented to him, represented to him as circumambulating the House, and in that case the issue is completely resolved.
The student: Is... the circumambulation of al-Dajjal of the House?

The Shaykh : May Allah guide you, this is the answer: if al-Dajjal is not literal at that time, but rather a man resembling al-Dajjal was represented to the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) as if he were circumambulating the House, and we say it was represented based on the fact that it is established from the Messenger in al-Bukhari that at the end of one hundred years, none of those who are on the face of the earth today will remain, and this necessitates that neither al-Dajjal nor anyone else remains, so this would be a representation, and in that case there is no issue. If it is literal that it is al-Dajjal himself, then his being prevented from entering Makkah and al-Madinah is only when he emerges at the end of time. Is that clear? Yes, and we discussed this yesterday.

The questioner : ... so how do we reconcile it with the second hadith?

The Shaykh : I say that the second hadith must be by way of representation; it must be by way of representation. And if the Messenger had not said that none of those who are on the face of the earth today will remain, we would have said that perhaps this is general and al-Dajjal is an exception, but al-Dajjal is not currently present and is not known. Yes.

The questioner : A question, O Shaykh?

The Shaykh : Yes.
