The Book of Jumu'ah, the Two 'Eids, Istisqa', the Eclipse, and Funerals-04a

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The reciter: Abu al-Rabi' al-Zuhri narrated to us, saying: Hammad narrated to us, saying: Ayyub narrated to us from Muhammad from Umm Atiyyah, who said:
He (the Messenger of Allah) commanded us that we should take out unmarried women and the screened away ladies for 'Id prayers, and he commanded the menstruating women to remain away from the place of worship of the Muslims. أمرنا تعني النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم أن نخرج في العيدين العواتق وذوات الخدور وأمر الحيض أن يعتزلن مصلى المسلمين
Sahih Muslim 890a

The Shaykh : The statement of the chapter compiler: "Chapter on the mention of the permissibility of women going out on the two festivals" The expression of permissibility here is a bit lenient, because it is not appropriate to say that something is merely permissible when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) has ordered it, except if the intention is to refute the claim of those who say it is prohibited. In that case, it is valid, and the statement of permissibility does not contradict the recommendation. However, I do not know of anyone who said it is prohibited for a woman to go out to the place of prayer for the festival. The correct view is that a woman on the day of the festival goes out to the place of prayer, and that this is a recommended practice for which she is rewarded, and it brings her closer to Allah. But she must not be displaying her adornment, nor wearing perfume, but rather she should go out in her usual state.
And the young girls who stay in their seclusion chambers.والعواتق ذوات الخُدور
The young girls: meaning those of noble lineage and descent. And those who stay in their seclusion chambers: those who remain in their seclusion chambers and do not go out to the markets.
and he commanded the menstruating women to remain away from the place of worship of the Muslims.وأمر الحيَّض أن يعتزلن مصلّى المسلمين
Sahih Muslim 890a
Because a menstruating woman is not permitted to stay in the mosque, and in this is evidence that the place of prayer for the festival is a mosque, having the rulings of mosques. So if you enter it, pray two units of prayer, and do not sell or buy in it, because it is a mosque.
