The reciter: And Abu Bakr ibn Abi Shaybah narrated to us, and Abu Mu'awiyah narrated to us from Asim from Anas, who said: كانت الأنصار يكرهون أن يطوفوا بين الصّفا والمروة ، حتّى نزلت : إنّ الصّفا والمروة من شعائر الله فمن حجّ البيت أو اعتمر فلا جناح عليه أن يطّوّف بهما The Ansar disliked performing tawaf between al-Safa and al-Marwah until it was revealed: "Indeed, al-Safa and al-Marwah are among the symbols of Allah. So whoever performs Hajj or 'Umrah and tawafs between them, there is no blame on him.".
