The benefits of the saying of Allah the Exalted: ((They said: Glory be to You! You are our protector, not them. Rather, they used to worship the jinn, and most of them believed in them.))

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
They will say, "Exalted are You! You, [O Allah], are our benefactor not them. قَالُوا سُبْحَانَكَ أَنْتَ وَلِيُّنَا مِنْ دُونِهِمْ
[Saba 34:41]
So, what is intended by asking the ones being worshipped about the worship of the worshippers? It is intended to be a rebuke and a reprimand for those worshippers, and that these ones being worshipped disavow them and said:
Exalted are You! You, [O Allah], are our benefactor not them.
[Saba 34:41]
This is among the most severe forms of humiliation, reprimand, and self-reproach, because it exposes the lies and fabrications of these worshippers.
Among its benefits is: establishing the existence of the angels, and that some of the people worshipped them other than Allah, as He says to the angels:
Did these [people] used to worship you?" أَهَؤُلاءِ إِيَّاكُمْ كَانُوا يَعْبُدُونَ
[Saba 34:40]
Yes.
Among its benefits is also: clarifying what the angels, peace be upon them, possess of the exaltation of Allah, where they said:
Glory be to You سبحانك
That is, purifying Him from having a partner, neither from us nor from anyone else.
Among them is: establishing the lordship of Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) over the angels, where they said:
You, [O Allah], are our benefactor not them
[Saba 34:41]
.
Among the benefits of the verse is: establishing the existence of the jinn, as He says:
Rather, they used to worship the jinn
[Saba 34:41]
Good. The jinn are a hidden realm created from fire, and among them are the believer and the disbeliever, the obedient and the disobedient, as in Surat al-Jinn.
Among the benefits of the noble verse is: the obligation of disbelief in the jinn.

The Shaykh : The opposite. Good. His saying:
most of them were believers in them." أَكْثَرُهُمْ بِهِمْ مُؤْمِنُونَ
[Saba 34:41]
Is this an affirmation or a denial?
The student: ....

The Shaykh : Good. So, the intended meaning of faith here is faith in their worship, not in their existence, because faith in their existence is obligatory, but faith that they have a right in...
