The reader: "As for slaughtering there, it is forbidden absolutely, as mentioned by our scholars and others, because Anas narrated from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said:
There is no slaughtering (at the grave) in Islam لا عقر في الإسلام
Sunan Abi Dawud 3222Sahih (Al-Albani)
It was narrated by Ahmad and Abu Dawud, and he added: 'Abd al-Razzaq said:
They used to slaughter a cow or a sheep at the grave كانوا يعقرون عند القبر بقرة أو شاة
, Ahmad said in the narration of al-Marwazi: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
There is no slaughtering (at the grave) in Islam لا عقر في الإسلام
Sunan Abi Dawud 3222Sahih (Al-Albani)
When one of them died, they would slaughter a camel at his grave, so the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade that, and Abu 'Abd Allah disliked eating its meat. Our scholars said: In the same sense is what many people of our time do in giving charity at the grave with bread or the like. These are types of worship that are physical, or financial, or a combination of both"
