Discussion of the interpretation of the saying of Allah the Exalted: ((Like the conduct of the people of Noah, 'Aad, and Thamud, and those who came after them. And Allah does not intend injustice for the servants * And O my people, I fear for you the Day of Mutual Calling))

The Shaykh : I seek refuge in Allah from the accursed Shaytan. Allah, Blessed and Exalted is He, said:
And whomever Allah leaves astray - there will be for him no guide. ومن يضلل الله فما له من هاد
[Ar-Ra'd 13:33]
Before we enter into the new interpretation, we ask about what came before.
His saying, Blessed and Exalted is He, regarding the believer from the family of Pharaoh:
Like the custom of the people of Noah and of 'Aad and Thamud and those after them. And Allah wants no injustice for [His] servants. مثل دأب نوح وعاد وثمود
[Ghafir 40:31]
What is the meaning of "like the conduct"? It means like their punishment, not like their conduct. So it is an expression of the punishment by the deed.

The Shaykh : Is this common in the Qur'an, to express the punishment by the deed? What is the wisdom behind it? To make clear that the punishment is of the same kind as the deed, whether in good or in evil. Good.

The Shaykh : His saying, Exalted is He:
And Allah wants no injustice for [His] servants. وما الله يريد ظلما للعباد
[Ghafir 40:31]
Does the verse indicate the absence of injustice from Allah? How is that, when the verse did not say: "And Allah does not wrong"? He said:
and Allah wants no injustice وما الله يريد ظلما
[Ali 'Imran 3:108]
? We want it from the verse itself? Because the negation of the will necessitates the negation of the occurrence, a fortiori. Good.

The Shaykh : The negation of the will to wrong is a negation of wrong. What do we benefit from the negation of wrong, which is a negative attribute, and negation is non-existence? That is, pure negation is not possible.

The Shaykh : So what does the negation here include?
The student: The perfection of justice.

The Shaykh : Well done, may Allah reward you. Good. His saying, Exalted is He:
The Day of Mutual Calling يوم التناد
? The intended meaning is the Day of Resurrection. And what is the meaning of "Mutual Calling"? It means the calling out among people, and from it is the calling out for the people of Paradise. Good.

The Shaykh : What is the difference between the first warning and the second?
like the day of the companies - مثل يوم الأحزاب
[Ghafir 40:30]
Then he said:
indeed I fear for you the Day of Calling - إني أخاف عليكم يوم التناد
[Ghafir 40:32]
? The first is a worldly punishment, and the second is an otherworldly one. Good.
I think we have taken the benefits? We have not taken anything at all? We will take the benefits, if Allah wills, from his saying?
