The benefits of the saying of Allah the Exalted: “And O my people, I fear for you the Day of Mutual Calling, the Day when you will turn away fleeing, and you will have no protector from Allah.”

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Among the benefits of the verse:
And O my people, indeed I fear for you the Day of Calling -
[Ghafir 40:32]
.
Among the benefits of the verse: that this one who issued the warning was a believer in the Last Day.
And among its benefits is that what happens on the Last Day was known to people before the Qur'an was revealed, as He said:
The Day of Mutual Calling
This is because this is a matter that must be the case, meaning that the servants must know what happens on the Last Day so that they are clear about their affair.
And among the benefits of the noble verse: that the Day of Resurrection has different states. Allah the Exalted said in Surat Ta-Ha:
and [all] voices will be stilled before the Most Merciful, so you will not hear except a whisper [of footsteps].
[Taha 20:108]
Here it is mentioned that it is a Day of Mutual Calling, and the call is a loud voice. Accordingly, the combination of this verse and His saying:
and [all] voices will be stilled before the Most Merciful, so you will not hear except a whisper [of footsteps].
[Taha 20:108]
is that the Day of Resurrection has different states, because the Day of Resurrection is fifty thousand years in duration, so the states of people must change.
And among the benefits of the noble verse: the advice of this man to his people, where he calls out to them with this gentle call, “O my people.”
Then Allah, Blessed and Exalted is He, completed what this one who issued the warning mentioned:
The Day you will turn your backs fleeing; there is not for you from Allah any protector
[Ghafir 40:33]
It is known grammatically that this is a substitute for what came before. In it is the affirmation that the family of Pharaoh will turn away fleeing on the Day of Resurrection if they do not believe. Allah has clarified in another verse that they will be presented to the Fire morning and evening, and that on the Day of Resurrection it will be said to them, “Enter, O family of Pharaoh, into the most severe punishment.” So, may Allah protect us, they will turn away fleeing, being punished in the Fire of Hell.
And among the benefits of the noble verse: that no one is protected from the punishment of Allah, as He said:
there is not for you from Allah any protector
[Ghafir 40:33]
This is like the saying of Noah to his son when:
[But] he said, "I will take refuge on a mountain to protect me from the water."
[Hud 11:43]
he said:
There is no protector today from the decree of Allah, except for whom He gives mercy." And the waves came between them, and he was among the drowned. لا عاصم اليوم من أمر الله إلا من رحم وحال بينهما الموج فكان من المغرقين
[Hud 11:43]
