Commentary on Tafsir al-Jalalayn: (( Those who do not believe in it hasten for it )) They say: When will it come?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh :"
Those who do not believe in it are impatient for it
[Ash-Shuraa 42:18]
They say: When will it come? Thinking that it will not come
" Hastening for it: means they hasten for it, saying: Where is it? When will it be? That is not out of eagerness for it or desire for the good that will be in it, but rather it is delaying it and denying it. They say: Where is the Hour that you speak of? As Allah the Exalted said:
And when Our verses are recited to them as clear evidences, their argument is only that they say, "Bring [back] our forefathers, if you should be truthful."
[Al-Jathiyah: 25] And by this, they are confused and likened to them, because it was not said to them: They will come in this world; they will come on the Day of Resurrection. The messengers did not say: Your fathers will come while you are alive, because whoever dies is not resurrected except on the Day of Resurrection:
(15) Then indeed, after that you are to die. (16) Then indeed you, on the Day of Resurrection, will be resurrected.
[Al-Mu'minun 23:15-16]
Unless it is a sign from the signs of the messengers, as it came to 'Isa.
Those who do not believe in it are impatient for it
[Ash-Shuraa 42:18]
As for those who believe, listen to what Allah says about them? "
but those who believe are fearful
[Ash-Shuraa 42:18]
Fearful
of it and know that it is the truth
[Ash-Shuraa 42:18]
"
Those who believe are fearful, and fear (ishfaq) is the most intense fear. The author's explanation of it as fear is approximate and not definitive, because fear (ishfaq) is fear plus more. They are fearful of it, afraid of it, because they know that it is the truth and that it will occur, and the great terrors will be, the mountains will be like wool flung about, and the earth will be shaken. Everything mentioned in the Book and the Sunnah regarding what will happen in the Hereafter, those who believe believe in it and are fearful of it.
Allah the Exalted said: "
Unquestionably, those who dispute
[Ash-Shuraa 42:18]
Argue
concerning the Hour are in extreme error.
[Ash-Shuraa 42:18]
"
"Ala" is an introductory particle, the benefit of which is alerting, verification, and care. For this reason, "in" usually follows it, and "in" is for emphasis, like His saying:
Unquestionably, [for] the allies of Allah there will be no fear concerning them, nor will they grieve
[Yunus 10:62]
Unquestionably, it is they who are the corrupters, but they perceive [it] not.
[Al-Baqarah 2:12]
So, "ala" is an introductory particle that conveys emphasis, alerting, and verification, yes, and care.
Unquestionably, those who dispute concerning the Hour are in extreme error.
[Ash-Shuraa 42:18]
"In" is for emphasis, and the "lam" in His saying:
in extreme error.
[Ash-Shuraa 42:18]
The "lam" of emphasis is included in the news
in extreme error.
[Ash-Shuraa 42:18]
meaning they are indeed in far-off error from guidance, because error may be near and a person may find guidance from nearness, or it may be far and he does not find guidance, refuge with Allah, except after the "allati" and the "allati".
