The Shaykh : Then he said: Sahih al-Bukhari 2887 However, he is honored in the sight of Allah, because he is fighting in the cause of Allah, carrying out the command of Allah, and content with what Allah has decreed for him. Likewise, if he intercedes, he is not granted intercession. Why? Because he has no rank with the people of authority and the rulers, so they do not care about him. But in reality, he has a high station with his Lord. It is derived from this hadith that people are divided into two groups: a group whose only concern is this world, which has enslaved their hearts, occupying them from the remembrance of Allah and the worship of Allah, and they have no concern other than this world, whether that involves acquiring wealth or beautifying dwellings. The *khamsah* and *khamsilah* are a person's clothes and bedding, while the dirham and dinar are money. This is one group. The second group is the opposite of that; their greatest concern is the Hereafter, so they strive for it in the most difficult way for the souls, which is jihad in the cause of Allah. And yet, he has fulfilled what is obligatory upon him in all respects.
It is also derived from this: the clarification that this person whose only concern is this world may find that things turn against him and are reversed upon him, and he is unable to escape even the slightest harm, which is a thorn that pricks him; he cannot escape from it. This is unlike the decisive person who does not care about this world but only wants the Hereafter, and does not forget his share of this world. This is the one whom Allah makes content with what He has decreed for him.
It is derived from this hadith that it is recommended for the one who strives in the cause of Allah that his concern not be worldly ranks, but rather that his concern be carrying out what is obligatory, whether as a guard, or in the rear guard, or in the center, or on the two flanks. The important thing is that he be where he is placed according to what the public interest requires.
It is derived from this hadith that the lowliness of a person's rank in terms of wealth does not necessitate that he be low in rank in the sight of Allah, Mighty and Majestic. So this man about whom the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Blessed is he," is the one who, if he intercedes, is not granted intercession, and if he asks for permission, is not granted it. And the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) did not say, "If he asks, he is not given," because this man does not care; he does not care about this world to the extent that he would ask for it. But he cares about good; he intercedes for people but is not granted intercession, and he asks for permission to enter upon those in authority for public interests, and yet he is not granted it.
if he asks for permission he is not permitted, and if he intercedes, his intercession is not accepted.
