What I advise is early marriage

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question: What is your opinion, Your Eminence, regarding the marriage of a student who is able to marry and is studying at the university? Does that have an effect on his studies?

Answer: What I advise is early marriage; because it does not affect the studies. The righteous Salaf, from the time of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) to this day, used to study and learn and get married. So marriage helps him in good, if he has the ability; it helps him in good and does not prevent him from studying, nor does it hinder him from studying. Rather, it causes him to lower his gaze, gives peace to his soul, brings comfort to his conscience, and keeps him away from what Allah has forbidden for him. So if marriage becomes easy for him, the advice for him is to marry, and to fear Allah in that, and to act upon the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
Young man, those of you who can support a wife should marry, for it keeps you from looking at strange women and preserves you from immoralityيا معشر الشباب من استطاع منكم الباءة فليتزوج، فإنه أغض للبصر وأحصن للفرج
