Reminders on the Occasions of Marriage

Answer: Reminding the people gathered at wedding parties, both men and women, about what is obligatory upon them regarding the rights of Allah, His obedience, cooperating in righteousness and piety, advising one another to truth, and being cautious of everything Allah has forbidden, is truly one of the occasions. This should be accompanied by encouraging marriage and urging the reduction of costs, so that marriage becomes more common and men and women are protected from sin.
