Discussion on the ruling regarding dyeing hair.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : As for dyeing hair, it has two cases: either the dyeing is for one whose hair has turned gray, whether male or female, and it is permissible for him to dye it except with black, because the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to dye his hair, and so did his Companions after him; indeed, he (peace and blessings be upon him) commanded this by saying:
The Jews and the Christians do not dye (their hair), so differ from them. إن اليهود والنصارى لا يصبغون شعورهم ؛ فخالفوهم
Sunan Ibn Majah 3621Sahih (Darussalam)
. Therefore, it was the custom of the scholars of hadith, who are the victorious group and the saved sect due to their concern for the Prophetic Sunnah, that when they wrote biographies of one of them, they would say: "He used to dye his hair" or "He did not dye his hair," as in the biography of the person being discussed, because dyeing is a Sunnah and it may become an obligatory duty when this Sunnah becomes abandoned. All this discussion is only for one whose hair has turned gray, male or female. As for one who has not turned gray and has not been touched by grayness, and remains as Allah (Mighty and Majestic) created him and disposed him, with black hair, brown hair, red hair, or similar colors, it is not permissible to dye any of these colors, because that is changing the creation of Allah (Mighty and Majestic). Changing the creation of Allah in the body of a human, whether male or female, is not permissible, because in that lies obedience to Satan and disobedience to the Most Merciful. Indeed, Allah (Mighty and Majestic) mentioned in the Noble Qur'an the stance of the accursed Satan when he was commanded to prostrate to Adam (peace be upon him) but refused, so Allah (Mighty and Majestic) expelled him from His mercy. He vowed to his Lord to mislead His enemy, mankind, and among that is the saying of that Satan:
and I will command them so they will slit the ears of cattle, and I will command them so they will change the creation of Allah وَلَآمُرَنَّهُمْ فَلَيُبَتِّكُنَّ آذَانَ الْأَنْعَامِ وَلَآمُرَنَّهُمْ فَلَيُغَيِّرُنَّ خَلْقَ اللَّهِ
[An-Nisa 4:119]
. So whoever changes the creation of Allah (Mighty and Majestic) without permission from Allah or His Messenger has obeyed Satan and disobeyed the Most Merciful. For that reason, the punishment for those who change the creation of Allah for the sake of beauty, beauty, and perfection is the curse from the mercy of Allah, as He did with Satan who established for them the practice of changing the creation of the Most Merciful. By this statement, I mean pointing to the saying of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him):
Allah has cursed the women who pluck their eyebrows, and those who have it done for them, and the women who tattoo, and those who have it done for them, and the women who join their hair, and those who separate their teeth, who change the creation of Allah for the sake of beauty. لَعَنَ اللهُ النامصات والمتنمِّصات ، والواشمات والمستوشمات ، والواصلات والفالجات المغيِّرات لخلق الله للحُسْن
,
Those who change the creation of Allah for the sake of beauty. المغيِّرات لخلق الله للحُسْن
. If a woman removes a little from her eyebrow, she deserves the curse of Allah, because she was not pleased with the creation of Allah (Mighty and Majestic), let alone those who shave their eyebrows and then dye the place with a dye that satisfies her intellect, rather her animal nature, rather her obedience to her Satan and her disobedience to Allah (Mighty and Majestic). Therefore, it is not permissible for a woman whose hair has not turned gray to change the color of her hair, if it is black, by dyeing it the color of gold, or the opposite of that. This is the answer to what you asked, and perhaps I missed something from the question, so perhaps you can remind me.
