The author (may Allah have mercy on him) stated, in what he quoted from 'Umar ibn al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) in the chapter on reliance and certainty, from 'Umar ibn al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:Musnad Ahmad 205[lts isnad is qawi] (Darussalam) Al-Tirmidhi narrated it and said: It is a good hadith.
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, encouraging his Ummah to place their trust in Allah:Musnad Ahmad 205[lts isnad is qawi] (Darussalam) This means a genuine trust, where you rely on Allah (Mighty and Majestic) completely in seeking your provision and in other matters, so that He provides for you just as He provides for the birds. The birds’ provision is from Allah (Mighty and Majestic) because they are birds that have no owner; they fly in the air, go to their nests, and seek the provision of Allah (Mighty and Majestic).
