The author (may Allah have mercy on him) stated, in what he quoted from Abdullah ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him and his father) The author (may Allah have mercy on him) brought this hadith in the chapter on enjoining good and forbidding evil, because it contains changing evil by hand. For a man wearing gold is forbidden and an evil, as the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said regarding gold and silk Sunan an-Nasa'i 5148Sahih (Darussalam) It is not permissible for a man to wear a gold ring, nor to wear a gold necklace, nor to wear clothes with a gold belt or anything else. He must avoid all gold. This is because gold is worn by those who need adornment and beautification, such as a woman who beautifies herself for her husband so that he desires her. Allah (Mighty and Majestic) said: [Az-Zukhruf 43:18] meaning women. Women are raised in adornment and brought up with it, and in disputes they are not clear, being hesitant and not eloquent. In any case, women need gold to beautify themselves for their husbands, and a man is not in need of that. A man beautifies himself for himself and does not beautify himself for others, except for a man in his relationship with his wife, where each beautifies himself for the other, which is part of the affection between them. But in any case, it is not permissible for a man to wear gold under any circumstances.
