The Shaykh : In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful:
The author (may Allah have mercy on him) said, regarding what he quoted from Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), from our Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), that he said:Sahih al-Bukhari 3436
First: 'Isa ibn Maryam (peace be upon him). 'Isa ibn Maryam was the last of the prophets of the Children of Israel, indeed the last of the prophets before Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), for there was no prophet between him and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), as Allah the Exalted said:[As-Saf 61:6]. So there is no prophet between Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) and 'Isa ibn Maryam (peace be upon him).
As for what is mentioned by some historians regarding the existence of prophets among the Arabs, such as Khalid ibn Sinan and others, this is a lie and has no truth to it.
'Isa ibn Maryam was a sign among the signs of Allah (Mighty and Majestic), as the Exalted said:[Al-Mu'minun 23:50]. He was a sign in his origin, and a sign in his birth.
As for his origin: his mother Maryam (may Allah be pleased with her) became pregnant with him without a father. Allah (Mighty and Majestic) sent Jibril to her, and he appeared to her in the form of a well-proportioned man, and he breathed into her, so she became pregnant with 'Isa (peace be upon him). And Allah is capable of all things. The One who is able to create a child from semen is able to create it through this breath, as the Exalted said:[Ali 'Imran 3:59]. Nothing is too difficult for the power of Allah. When He wills a thing, He says, "Be," and it is. So she gave birth; she carried him, and it is said that he did not remain in her womb as fetuses usually remain, but she carried him and he grew up quickly, then she gave birth to him.
And there was a sign in his birth. Labor came upon her, meaning labor brought Maryam to the trunk of the palm tree, and she said:[Maryam 19:23]. She did not wish for death, but she wished that this thing had not come to her until death. [Maryam 19:24-25] a stream flowing beneath her in the palm tree. Then He said: [Maryam 19:25]: She shakes the trunk while she is a woman who has been seized by labor, and dates fall from her shaking, fresh dates that do not spoil when they fall to the ground. This is contrary to the custom. The custom is that a woman in labor is weak, and the custom when shaking a palm tree is not to shake it from the bottom, but from the top; from the trunk, it does not shake even if a person shakes it. The custom is also that when dates fall, they fall to the ground and get crushed. But Allah said: [Maryam 19:25-26]. Allah is the Greatest! Among the signs of Allah (Mighty and Majestic), Allah is capable of all things.
She gave birth to the child and brought him to her people, carrying him, carrying him as a child while she had not married. So they accused her of fornication, saying:[Maryam 19:28]: meaning, as if they were saying: Where did this fornication come from? We seek refuge in Allah from that. Was your father not a good man, and was your mother not a fornicator? In this is an indication that if a person commits fornication, his offspring may be afflicted with fornication, and may Allah protect us from that, as came in the hadith in the athar: .
So these people said: Your father was not a bad man, and your mother was not a fornicator. So Allah (Mighty and Majestic) inspired her, and she pointed to the child, to the baby, she pointed to him, and it was as if they were mocking her,[Maryam 19:29]. This is not reasonable! But he turned to them and said this eloquent and wonderful speech: [Maryam 19:30-33]: Seven sentences, Allah is the Greatest, from a child in the cradle.
But do not be amazed, the power of Allah is above everything. Do not our skins, our hands, our feet, and our tongues testify against us on the Day of Resurrection regarding what we did? Answer!
The student: Yes.
The Shaykh : Yes, do not say "yes," say: Yes, they testify.
Does not the earth report its news that your Lord inspired it? The earth testifies to what was done upon it, whether in speech or action:[Az-Zalzalah 99:4-5]. So this is the speech of 'Isa ibn Maryam; he spoke these great words, seven sentences, while he was in the cradle.
The author (may Allah have mercy on him) said, regarding what he quoted from Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), from our Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), that he said:
None spoke in cradle but three
First: 'Isa ibn Maryam (peace be upon him). 'Isa ibn Maryam was the last of the prophets of the Children of Israel, indeed the last of the prophets before Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), for there was no prophet between him and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), as Allah the Exalted said:
And [mention] when Jesus, the son of Mary, said, "O children of Israel, indeed I am the messenger of Allah to you confirming what came before me of the Torah and bringing good tidings of a messenger to come after me, whose name is Ahmad."
As for what is mentioned by some historians regarding the existence of prophets among the Arabs, such as Khalid ibn Sinan and others, this is a lie and has no truth to it.
'Isa ibn Maryam was a sign among the signs of Allah (Mighty and Majestic), as the Exalted said:
And We made the son of Mary and his mother a sign and sheltered them within a high ground having level [areas] and flowing water.
The One who is able to create a child from semen is able to create it through this breath, as the Exalted said:
Indeed, the example of Jesus to Allah is like that of Adam. He created Him from dust; then He said to him, "Be," and he was.
And there was a sign in his birth. Labor came upon her, meaning labor brought Maryam to the trunk of the palm tree, and she said:
Oh, I wish I had died before this and was in oblivion, forgotten."
(24) But he called her from below her, "Do not grieve; your Lord has provided beneath you a stream. (25) And shake toward you the trunk of the palm tree; it will drop upon you ripe, fresh dates.
And shake toward you the trunk of the palm tree; it will drop upon you ripe, fresh dates.
(25) And shake toward you the trunk of the palm tree; it will drop upon you ripe, fresh dates. (26) So eat and drink and be contented. And if you see from among humanity anyone, say, 'Indeed, I have vowed to the Most Merciful abstention, so I will not speak today to [any] man.' "
She gave birth to the child and brought him to her people, carrying him, carrying him as a child while she had not married. So they accused her of fornication, saying:
O sister of Aaron, your father was not a man of evil, nor was your mother unchaste."
Whoever commits fornication, his people commit fornication.
So these people said: Your father was not a bad man, and your mother was not a fornicator. So Allah (Mighty and Majestic) inspired her, and she pointed to the child, to the baby, she pointed to him, and it was as if they were mocking her,

(30) [Jesus] said, "Indeed, I am the servant of Allah. He has given me the Scripture and made me a prophet. (31) And He has made me blessed wherever I am and has enjoined upon me prayer and zakah as long as I remain alive (32) And [made me] dutiful to my mother, and He has not made me a wretched tyrant. (33) And peace is on me the day I was born and the day I will die and the day I am raised alive."
But do not be amazed, the power of Allah is above everything.
