The reader: In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
All praise is due to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, and upon his family and all his Companions.
The author (may Allah have mercy on him) quoted in the context of the hadiths in the chapter on the virtue of circles of dhikr: "From Abu Hurayrah and Abu Sa'id (may Allah be pleased with them both), who said:
God’s messenger as saying, “People will not sit remembering God without the angels surrounding them, mercy covering them, peace(1) descending on them, and God mentioning them among those who are with Him.”
Mishkat al-Masabih 2261
Muslim narrated it, and from al-Harith ibn 'Awf (may Allah be pleased with him)
Abu Waqid Al-Harith bin 'Auf (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was sitting in the mosque with his Companions when three people came to him. Two of them stepped forward to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and the third went away. Those two men stood by the side of Messenger of Allah (ﷺ). One of them found a space in the circle and he filled it, while the other one sat behind him. When the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) finished, he said, "Shall I not inform you about these three people? One of them sought refuge with Allah and Allah gave him refuge; the second one felt shy and Allah showed kindness to his shyness (and so he was accommodated in that meeting), and the last one averted, and so Allah turned away His Attention from him." [Al-Bukhari and Muslim] .

The Shaykh : In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
These two hadiths are among the hadiths mentioned by the author (may Allah have mercy on him) in his book *Riyad al-Salihin*. In the first, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) informed that:
No people get together in a house of the houses of Allah (i.e. a mosque), reciting the Book of Allah, and learning it together among themselves, but calmness (sakinah) comes down to them, (Divine) mercy covers them (from above), and the angels surround them, and Allah makes a mention of them among those who are with Him.
Sunan Abi Dawud 1455Sahih (Al-Albani)
This indicates the virtue of gathering to remember Allah (Mighty and Majestic). It is not required from this that they remember Allah with one voice; rather, the hadith is general. However, it is not known from the Salaf that they used to perform collective dhikr as some of the people of the Sufi paths and others do. In it is that these gathered people are descended upon by tranquility, and tranquility is the peace of the heart, its humility, and its turning back to Allah (Mighty and Majestic).
And mercy envelops them.
meaning: it surrounds them from every side.
