The reader: The author (may Allah have mercy on him) transmitted in the context of the hadiths in "the chapter on the prohibition of mutual hatred, severing ties, and turning away from one another, from Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said
The gates of Paradise are not opened but on two days, Monday and Thursday. and then every servant (of Allah) is granted pardon who does not associate anything with Allah except the person in whose (heart) there is rancour against his brother. And it would be said: Look towards both of them until there is reconciliation; look toward both of them until there is reconciliation

The Shaykh : In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
This hadith was mentioned by the author al-Nawawi (may Allah have mercy on him) in his book Riyad al-Salihin in the chapter on the prohibition of mutual hatred, turning away from one another, and severing ties, from Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said
The gates of Paradise are opened on every Monday and Thursday, and forgiveness is granted to every Muslim except for two men between whom there is enmity. It is said: "Wait for these! Wait for these until they reconcile!" تفتح أبواب الجنة في كل يوم اثنين وخميس فيغفر لكل مسلم إلا رجلين بينهما شحناء فيقال أنظروا هؤلاء أنظروا هؤلاء حتى يصطلحا
and likewise the presentation of
Deeds are presented to Allah the Exalted and Majestic on Monday and Thursday, and forgiveness is granted to every Muslim except for two men between whom there is enmity. It is said: "Wait for these until they reconcile!" الأعمال على الله عز وجل يوم الاثنين والخميس فيغفر لكل مسلم إلا رجلين بينهما شحناء فيقال أنظروا هؤلاء حتى يصطلحوا
This indicates that it is obligatory for a person to hasten to remove enmity, hostility, and hatred between him and his brothers, even if he feels distress and heaviness in seeking to remove the enmity. Let him be patient and count it as a reward, for the outcome in that is good. When a person sees the good, reward, and recompense in the deed, it becomes easy for him. Likewise, when he sees the warning against leaving it, it becomes easy for him. If a person is unable to go to the individual and say, "We must reconcile and remove the hostility and hatred between us," he can appoint a trustworthy man whom both parties approve of to go to him and say, "I find that there is such and such between you and so-and-so. If you would reconcile and remove the hostility and hatred between you, that would be good and fine." And success is from Allah.
