Continuation of the Chapter on What Allah the Exalted Has Prepared for the Believers in Paradise: Allah the Exalted said

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : As for the chapter we are discussing now: it is an explanation of what Allah the Exalted has prepared for His awliya (close friends of Allah) in Paradise:
And Paradise is the abode that Allah the Exalted has prepared for His awliya, for the righteous.
The author began with the words of Allah Blessed and Exalted is He:
(45) Indeed, the righteous will be within gardens and springs. (46) [Having been told], "Enter it in peace, safe [and secure]." إِنَّ الْمُتَّقِينَ فِي جَنَّاتٍ وَّعُيُونٍ * ادْخُلُوهَا بِسَلاَمٍ آمِنِينَ
[Al-Hijr 15:45-46]
: meaning it is said to them: Enter it with peace and security, secure from everything, from every calamity, from every illness, from old age, from death, from everything.
"Enter it in peace, safe [and secure]." (47) And We will remove whatever is in their breasts of resentment ادخلوها بسلام آمنين وَنَزَعْنَا مَا فِي صُدُورِهِم مِّنْ غِلٍّ
[Al-Hijr 15:46-47]
This is because they will be stopped before entering Paradise at a bridge between Paradise and the Fire, and retribution will be taken for some of them from others, until when they are purified and cleansed and their hearts remain pure with no resentment in them, they will enter Paradise, after Allah has removed from their hearts what is therein of resentment.
And His saying:
on thrones facing each other على سرر متقابلين
: "al-surr" is the plural of "sarir," which is known as what one sits upon.
And His saying:
Facing one another متقابلين
: meaning that they are on a level of great etiquette in their sitting; they do not turn their backs on one another, but they are facing each other. Some scholars said: "Because they sit with one another in a wide circle, and in a circle the sitters do not turn their backs on each other; each one is facing the other".
No fatigue will touch them therein, nor from it will they [ever] be removed. لا يمسهم فيها نصب وما هم منها بمخرجين
[Al-Hijr 15:48]
: meaning no fatigue or exhaustion will touch them, and they will not go out from it, but they are its inhabitants forever.
The second verse is His saying, the Exalted:
(68) [To whom Allah will say], "O My servants, no fear will there be concerning you this Day, nor will you grieve, (69) [You] who believed in Our verses and were Muslims. يَا عِبَادِ لَا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْكُمُ الْيَوْمَ وَلَا أَنْتُمْ تَحْزَنُونَ * الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا بِآيَاتِنَا وَكَانُوا مُسْلِمِينَ
[Az-Zukhruf 43:68-69]
: Allah Mighty and Majestic calls His believing servants on the Day of Resurrection when they enter Paradise, saying:
no fear will there be concerning you this Day, nor will you grieve, لَا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْكُمُ الْيَوْمَ وَلَا أَنْتُمْ تَحْزَنُونَ
[Az-Zukhruf 43:68]
: Fear is of what is to come, and grief is of the past. This is because they have attained the perfection of pleasure, so they do not fear the future nor grieve over the past, because their pleasure has been completed.
[You] who believed in Our verses and were Muslims. الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا بِآيَاتِنَا وَكَانُوا مُسْلِمِينَ
[Az-Zukhruf 43:69]
: They believed with their hearts and were Muslims with their limbs, submitting to the command of Allah Mighty and Majestic. They do not disobey Allah, neither by doing what is forbidden nor by leaving what is obligatory. Enter it, you and your wives, while you are delighted. Enter it with peace and security.
Enter Paradise, you and your kinds, delighted." ادْخُلُوا الْجَنَّةَ أَنْتُمْ وَأَزْوَاجُكُمْ تُحْبَرُونَ
[Az-Zukhruf 43:70]
: meaning you will enjoy yourselves. And your wives: they are the houris and their wives in this world as well, by the saying of Allah Blessed and Exalted is He:
And those who believed and whose descendants followed them in faith - We will join with them their descendants, and We will not deprive them of anything of their deeds. Every person, for what he earned, is retained. وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَاتَّبَعَتْهُمْ ذُرِّيَّتُهُم بِإِيمَانٍ أَلْحَقْنَا بِهِمْ ذُرِّيَّتَهُمْ وَمَا أَلَتْنَاهُم مِّنْ عَمَلِهِم مِّن شَيْءٍ كُلُّ امْرِئٍ بِمَا كَسَبَ رَهَينٌ
[At-Tur 52:21]
, so they and their wives are delighted, meaning: in a place of delight, meaning: that they are favored and luxurious. And therein is whatever the souls desire and what delights the eyes.
Circulated among them will be plates and vessels of gold. And therein is whatever the souls desire and [what] delights the eyes يُطَافُ عَلَيْهِمْ بِصِحَافٍ مِّن ذَهَبٍ وَأَكْوَابٍ وَفِيهَا مَا تَشْتَهِيهِ الأنْفُسُ وَتَلَذُّ الأعْيُنُ
[Az-Zukhruf 43:71]
: And Allah the Exalted did not specify in this verse who serves them, but He specified it in other verses, saying:
(17) There will circulate among them young boys made eternal (18) With vessels, pitchers and a cup [of wine] from a flowing spring - (19) No headache will they have therefrom, nor will they be intoxicated - يَطُوفُ عَلَيْهِمْ وِلْدَانٌ مُّخَلَّدُونَ بِأَكْوَابٍ وَأَبَارِيقَ وَكَأْسٍ مِّن مَّعِينٍ لاَ يُصَدَّعُونَ عَنْهَا وَلاَ يُنْزِفُونَ
[Al-Waqi'ah 56:17-19]
.
Yes, give us the verse?
The third verse is His saying, the Exalted:
(51) Indeed, the righteous will be in a secure place; (52) Within gardens and springs, إن المتقين في مقام أمين * في جنات وعيون
[Ad-Dukhan 44:51-52]
: "In a secure place" means: a place of residence. "Secure" means: secure, as mentioned before, from everything.
Wearing [garments of] fine silk and brocade, facing each other. يلبسون من سندس وإستبرق متقابلين
[Ad-Dukhan 44:53]
: This is their garment, and it is the highest type of silk.
And He said, the Exalted:
(22) Indeed, the righteous will be in pleasure (23) On adorned couches, observing. (24) You will recognize in their faces the radiance of pleasure. إِنَّ الأبْرَارَ لَفِي نَعِيمٍ * عَلَى الأَرَائِكِ يَنظُرُونَ تَعْرِفُ فِي وُجُوهِهِمْ نَضْرَةَ النَّعِيمِ
[Al-Mutaffifin 83:22-24]
to the end of it:
The righteous: they are those who did good deeds and left what is forbidden. The term is derived from "birr," which is the fulfillment of obedience to Allah.
Indeed, the righteous will be in pleasure, إن الأبرار لفي نعيم
[Al-Infitar 82:13]
: meaning that they are in pleasure in the heart and in pleasure in the body, so they are in the most comfortable state possible. May Allah make us and you among them.
On adorned couches, observing. على الأرائك ينظرون
[Al-Mutaffifin 83:23]
: "al-ara'ik" is the plural of "ariakah," which are the covered, decorated, and adorned canopies. And they look at what Allah has prepared for them of pleasure in these gardens, and this includes looking at the Face of Allah Mighty and Majestic.
You will recognize in their faces the radiance of pleasure. تعرف في وجوههم نضرة النعيم
[Al-Mutaffifin 83:24]
meaning: that when you see them, you know that they are favored, because their faces are radiant, good, and beautiful.
(25) They will be given to drink [pure] wine [which was] sealed. (26) The last of it is musk. So for this let the competitors compete. يُسْقَوْنَ مِن رَّحِيقٍ مَّخْتُومٍ خِتَامُهُ مِسْكٌ وَفِي ذَلِكَ فَلْيَتَنَافَسِ الْمُتَنَافِسُون
[Al-Mutaffifin 83:25-26]
meaning: they drink from pure drink. "Sealed" means: it has a seal, and this seal is musk, meaning: a pleasant scent.
And in that وفي ذلك
meaning: in this reward and wage and pleasure.
Let those who compete compete. فليتنافس المتنافسون
: meaning: so let those who compete compete.
