The ruling on a mosque in which only the Friday prayer is performed

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
After this, a message was sent by one of the listening brothers. He says: Al-Atiqi Ibrahim from Morocco. Our brother has a number of questions, and in one of them he says: What is your opinion, may Allah bless you, regarding a mosque in which none of the prayers are performed except the Friday prayer? May Allah reward you with good.

Answer:
If there is a pressing need for it, then there is no blame in that. However, if there are mosques that suffice for it, where the Friday prayer is performed, then there is no need to perform it there. As for if they are far away, and the neighbors of the mosque need the Friday prayer to be performed in it, then there is no blame in that. This matter should be referred to the judge of the town, the court of the town, or written to us about it, so that we may look into the matter, because this is a position that requires care. Why is only the Friday prayer performed there? So the questioner should refer to the court in the town, or write to us about the subject, so that we may write to the court about it.
