The ruling on one whose parent died while angry with him
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
He says: If my mother died while she was angry with me, how can I please her after her death?
Answer:
If your mother, or your father, died while they were angry with you, you must make du'a' for them, and repent to Allah for having angered them and been undutiful to them. Repentance erases what came before it, even shirk (associating partners with Allah), which is the greatest of sins. Whoever repents, Allah accepts his repentance. You must repent to Allah, feel remorse, and resolve not to return to severing ties or undutifulness. You must strive to seek forgiveness for them, make du'a' for them, and give charity on their behalf. Be glad of good news; whoever repents, Allah accepts his repentance.
The presenter : May Allah reward you with good.
