The ruling on dedicating the reward of prayer to one's parents

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
He says: It has become my habit, after I pray the voluntary prayers, to pray two rak'ahs and say that their reward is for my deceased parents. Is this valid, or not?

Answer:
It has no basis; there is no basis for this. No, do not do this. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and the Companions did not do that. But you should make du'a' for your parents and for your Muslim relatives, seek forgiveness for them, and give charity on their behalf. There is nothing wrong with that. Yes.

The presenter : May Allah reward you with good.
