Ruling on delaying the Fajr prayer until the time of Zuhr
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
Another question asks: What is the ruling on one who delays the Fajr prayer to pray it with the Zuhr prayer, knowing that he wakes up at the Fajr adhan? Is his prayer accepted? Please inform us, may Allah reward you with good.
Answer:
This is reprehensible and not permissible. Allah (Exalted and Majestic is He) says: [Surat al-Nisa: 103] and He says, Exalted is He: [Surat al-Baqarah: 238], meaning: in their times. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) fixed the times for the five prayers: Zuhr, Asr, Maghrib, Isha, and Fajr, in their respective times. So it is not permissible for a Muslim to delay them from their time, neither Fajr nor any other. It is obligatory for him to hasten to pray in its time with the Muslims in congregation in the mosques, and the woman prays it in her house in its time. It is not permissible to delay it until the sun rises, so how about delaying it until Zuhr? This is a great evil, and some scholars consider one who does this to be a disbeliever. We ask Allah for safety.
So it is obligatory to repent to Allah, to be cautious, and to pray it in its time, and not to delay it from its time. Yes.

This is reprehensible and not permissible. Allah (Exalted and Majestic is He) says:
Indeed, prayer has been decreed upon the believers a decree of specified times.
إِنَّ الصَّلاةَ كَانَتْ عَلَى الْمُؤْمِنِينَ كِتَابًا مَوْقُوتًاMaintain with care the [obligatory] prayers and [in particular] the middle prayer
حَافِظُوا عَلَى الصَّلَوَاتِ وَالصَّلاةِ الْوُسْطَىSo it is obligatory to repent to Allah, to be cautious, and to pray it in its time, and not to delay it from its time. Yes.
