If a woman insults her husband's religion, does she become divorced?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
If a Muslim woman insults her husband or her husband's religion, does she become divorced in the Shari'ah, as we hear from most people? Please inform us; may Allah reward you.

Answer:
If a woman insults her husband, she does not become divorced, but she must repent to Allah and seek her husband's forgiveness. If he forgives her, there is no harm. If she insults him in return, as retaliation, and does not go beyond that, there is no harm either. However, if he forgives her, that is better; for Allah says:
And to forego it is nearer to righteousnessوَأَنْ تَعْفُوا أَقْرَبُ لِلتَّقْوَى
[al-Baqarah: 237].
And the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
no one forgives another except that Allah increases his honorما زاد الله عبدًا بعفو إلا عزا
Sahih Muslim 2588
. As for insulting her husband's religion, if he is a Muslim, it is major shirk (associating partners with Allah). It is obligatory for her to hasten to repent from that. We ask Allah for safety and well-being from that.
