The Obligation of a Woman to Obey Her Husband and Refrain from Disobeying Him

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
One of the Sudanese sisters says: She is residing in Khartoum, and she indicated her name with the letters (A. B. C). Our sister describes herself as being very stubborn with her husband, and she tried to get rid of this sin, but she has not been able to do so yet. How do you see the way for her, O Shaykh?
Answer: She must fear Allah the Exalted, and strive to obey her husband in what is right. She must always keep in mind that it is obligatory for her to obey her husband, and that by being stubborn with him, she commits a sin and angers her Lord. Therefore, it is obligatory for her to hold her soul to account, for it is inclined toward evil, except for those whom Allah has shown mercy. She must hold her soul to account and remember her standing before Allah, and that she is responsible for obeying Him and disobeying Him. If she keeps these matters in mind, Allah will help her to obey Him and refrain from stubbornness.
As for if she wants to carry out her desires or imitate the disobedient women who do not care about the command of Allah, she will lose this world and the Hereafter. But she must take as her model the righteous women of the past who were guided, from the wives of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and from the other people of goodness among the pious believing women. She must take as her model the people of goodness, not the people of evil.
And above all, she must remember the greatness of Allah, and fear Him the Exalted, and obey His command in this matter; for Allah has commanded her to obey her husband. So her husband has the right to her obedience in what is right. Yes.
