Ruling on leaving the prayer in the mosque while able to attend

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
The questioner, whose name is indicated by the initials (M. M. 'A. 'A.) from Sudan, says: Is it possible for me to pray at home, knowing that I am healthy and able, and knowing that I hear the adhan and the iqamah? Please inform me of this?

Answer:
It is not permissible for you to pray at home; it is obligatory for you to pray with the people. Whoever hears the call to prayer must pray with the congregation. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Whoever hears the call for prayer and and does not come (to the mosque for prayer), his prayer will not be accepted from him, unless he has a (legitimate) excuse.من سمع النداء فلم يأت؛ فلا صلاة له إلا من عذر
Bulugh al-Maram 2:308
It was asked of Ibn 'Abbas: "What is the excuse?" He said: "Fear, or illness."
A blind man came to him (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: "O Messenger of Allah, I have no guide to lead me to the mosque. Do I have a dispensation to pray at home?"—and he was blind—so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him:
Do you hear the call to prayer?هل تسمع النداء بالصلاة؟
Sahih Muslim 653
He said: Yes. He said:
Then respond.فأجب
A blind man who has no guide is told: Answer the call.
And Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "I have seen us, and none would be absent from it—meaning: the congregational prayer—except a known hypocrite." It is obligatory for the capable Muslim to pray with the congregation as long as he is able to hear the call to prayer in a place where he can hear it; it is required of him.
As for if he is far away and it is difficult for him, he does not hear the call and he is far away; then he prays in his place with his congregation, yes.
