The ruling on leaving Hajj despite having the ability to perform it

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
This leads us to ask the Shaykh: What is the ruling on leaving Hajj when one has the ability to perform it?

Answer:
The ruling is that it is a sin. Allah said:
for whoever is able to find thereto a wayمَنِ اسْتَطَاعَ إِلَيْهِ سَبِيلًا
[Al-Imran: 97], so it is not permissible for a Muslim to delay Hajj while he is able to perform it. Rather, he must hasten to do it. This is the correct view: that it is due immediately. So if he is able to perform Hajj, he must hasten to do it. And if he has a debt, he starts with the creditors unless they grant him permission. Yes.
