Reconciling the Hadith of the Seventy Thousand with the Entering of Hellfire

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
Another letter from a listener who indicated his name with the letters (F. A.) from Riyadh, saying: How do we reconcile his saying (peace and blessings be upon him):
Seventy thousand from my Ummah will enter Paradise without reckoning or punishmentسبعون ألفًا من أمتي يدخلون الجنة بلا حساب ولا عقاب
or as he (peace and blessings be upon him) said, with His saying (Blessed and Exalted is He):
And there is none of you except he will come to itوَإِنْ مِنْكُمْ إِلَّا وَارِدُهَا
[Maryam:71]?

Answer:
There is no difference between the verse and the hadith. The entering (al-wurud) is the passing over the Sirat, and all people pass over it; all the people of Paradise pass over it, for it is the path to entering Paradise. The Sirat is established over the back of Hellfire, so the first of them pass over it like lightning, like a flash of the eye, then like the wind, then like birds, then like the best of horses, and the riders are driven by their deeds. This is a passing that involves no punishment; it is a passing without punishment, except for those whom Allah (Exalted and Majestic is He) intends to punish from among the sinners, whom the hooks snatch away, and they fall into the Fire because of their sins and major sins from which they did not repent to Allah... with hooks that snatch people by their deeds, and none knows their extent except Allah . So some people pass by walking, some pass by crawling, some are scratched by the hooks but are saved, and some are scratched and thrown into the Fire because of their sins and major sins upon which they died.
As for the disbelievers, they do not pass over it, but are driven to the Fire. We ask Allah for safety.
So the conclusion is: that this passing is necessary, and it is the entering mentioned in His saying (the Exalted):
And there is none of you except he will come to it. This is upon your Lord an inevitability decreed.وَإِنْ مِنْكُمْ إِلَّا وَارِدُهَا كَانَ عَلَى رَبِّكَ حَتْمًا مَقْضِيًّا ۝
[Maryam 19:71]
Then We will save those who feared Us, and We will leave the wrongdoers therein prostrate [Maryam:71-72]. The righteous are saved by Allah and they pass over, the wrongdoers are driven to Hellfire and enter it, and the sinners are in great danger; some are saved, some are spared, and some enter the Fire and are punished according to their sins, then Allah takes them out of it by the grace of His mercy ; because they died upon the oneness of Allah and Islam.
And intercession takes place. So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) intercedes, the angels intercede, the believers intercede, and the prophets intercede. As for the disbelievers, there is no intercession for them, but their abode in the Fire is permanent. Allah the Exalted said:
So there will not benefit them the intercession of [any] intercessors.فَمَا تَنْفَعُهُمْ شَفَاعَةُ الشَّافِعِينَ
[Al-Muddaththir:48],
For the wrongdoers there will be no devoted friend and no intercessor [who is] obeyed.مَا لِلظَّالِمِينَ مِنْ حَمِيمٍ وَلا شَفِيعٍ يُطَاعُ
[Ghafir:18].
So the disbelievers are eternal in the Fire, and there is no intercession for them. Intercession is only for the sinners who enter the Fire because of their sins. The prophets intercede for them, our Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) intercedes for the sinners of his Ummah, the believers intercede, and the prophets intercede. A remainder of the people of sins remains in the Fire, and Allah (Glorified is He) takes them out of the Fire by the grace of His mercy, after the command of Allah has passed over them and the duration of their punishment in the Fire has ended. Allah takes them out of it because of their oneness of Allah and Islam, to a river called the River of Life, where they grow as a seed grows in the flood, as the authentic hadiths from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) state. Yes.

The presenter: May Allah reward you with good.
