The ruling on a woman wearing white clothes when entering the state of ihram

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
This question came from the questioner, Iman Abdullah from Taif. She actually has two questions. In the first, she asks: Is it valid for a woman to enter the state of ihram in white clothes, as we often see? And what is the best in that regard?

Answer:
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, and may peace and blessings be upon the Messenger of Allah, and upon his family and his Companions, and upon those who follow his guidance. As for what follows:
The Sunnah for a woman is to enter the state of ihram in clothes that are not beautiful and do not attract attention. She should enter the state of ihram in clothes that do not cause fitnah (temptation) for anyone. As for white, there is a consideration regarding it; because it involves imitating men. Unless it is in a form that does not resemble men, such as having dots on it, which women usually wear, or having pockets sewn on it, and on her sleeves, and its cut differs from the men's style; then there is no harm.
The best is for her clothes to be modest, without anything that attracts attention. White may attract attention. She should wear clothes that do not attract attention and do not cause men to be tempted by her. Yes.
