The reward of the one who points to good

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
The questioner: If my husband gives a sum of money from his salary to Allah every month, and I encourage him to do so, and it was actually my suggestion, does the reward for this deed belong to him alone? Or does it belong to me as well, since I suggested it to him and he carried it out? May Allah reward you with good.

Answer:
The Shaykh: The reward is shared between you and him. He gets the reward for his spending, and you get the reward for pointing the way and guiding. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
One who guides to something good has a reward similar to that of its doer.من دل على خير؛ فله مثل أجر فاعله
Sahih Muslim 1893a
So you have the reward of pointing the way, advising, and encouraging, and he has the reward of spending from his wealth. Thus, both of you are partners in the good. Yes.

The presenter: May Allah reward you with good, and may He do you good.
