The ruling on one who broke her fast during post-natal bleeding and did not make it up due to ignorance

Question:
A woman broke her fast in Ramadan because of post-natal bleeding, and many years passed without her making up the days she missed due to her ignorance. What is the ruling in such a case?
Answer:
The one who owes fasting from Ramadan due to post-natal bleeding, or menstruation, or illness, or travel, and delayed the fasting, should fast along with repentance, regret, and feeding one poor person for every day, if the making up of the fast is delayed until the Ramadan following the month in which she left off fasting. If another Ramadan arrives and she has not fasted, she should fast after that, and she must feed one poor person for every day, provided she is able. If she is poor and cannot afford it, fasting is sufficient for her; she makes up the days. Allah the Exalted said: [al-Baqarah:185].
And so it is for the man: if the fasting he owes is delayed after he recovers from his illness, or after he returns from his travel, and he is lax until another Ramadan arrives, he should make it up after that. He must repent for his negligence, and he must feed one poor person for every day he delayed.
So the man and the woman are equal in this: if he or she delays until another Ramadan, it is obligatory to make up the fast, repent, and feed one poor person for every day, provided one is able. If one cannot afford the feeding, one fasts, and the fasting is sufficient.
