The Ruling on Tayammum When the Weather Is Cold

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
This brother, the questioner from Sudan, says: He mentions that he works in the wilderness, tending to sheep, and the cold in winter, especially in the desert, is severe. He asks: Is it permissible for me to pray voluntary prayers and read from the mushaf using tayammum, even though water is available to me?

Answer:
It is obligatory for you to perform wudu with water. If there is a need to heat it, you heat it with fire. If there is no fire and the water is so cold that using it harms you, and you cannot perform tayammum, you pray the obligatory and voluntary prayers with tayammum, and you read from the mushaf.
However, if you are able to heat it, or if you are able to use it because its coldness does not harm you, you must use the water, either by heating it or using it as is if its coldness is not harmful. Yes.

The presenter: May Allah reward you with good.
