Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
The questioner says: She is a girl who memorizes the Qur'an, but she is prone to forgetting. Is she sinful for that because of the many household chores and other things? What do you advise her, O Shaykh?

Answer:
I advise her to strive to memorize the Qur'an, and it does not harm her if she forgets.
So fear Allah as much as you are ableفَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُمْ
[al-Taghabun:16] The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) may forget some verses, and he is the Messenger of Allah. He said:
I am only human, I forget as you forgetإنما أنا بشر أنسى كما تنسون
Sunan an-Nasa'i 1259Sahih (Darussalam)
So there is no blame if forgetting occurs.
As for the hadith:
Whoever memorizes the Qur'an and then forgets it will meet Allah while he is a eunuch.من حفظ القرآن ثم نسيه لقي الله وهو أجذم
This hadith is not authentic. This hadith of the warning is not authentic. A person strives to memorize the Qur'an, is eager, and works the causes, and success is in the hand of Allah. It is inevitable that some verses or some surahs will be forgotten, so there is no blame, and he must strive.
