Question:
He inquires in the final paragraph about a verse in Surat Yusuf, in the saying of Allah the Exalted:
And she certainly determined [to seduce] him, and he would have inclined to her had he not seen the proof of his Lord. And thus [it was] that We should avert from him evil and immorality. Indeed, he was of Our chosen servants.
[Yusuf:24]?

Answer:
It is to be understood on its apparent meaning. When her attempt to seduce him intensified, he desired her, and she desired him, but Allah protected him and preserved him, (peace and blessings be upon him). He saw a proof that prevented him from that, so this is from the favor of Allah upon him.
As for the statement of some people that he intended to strike her, this has no basis and is of no value. He desired her in the sense of committing a sin, except that Allah protected him and preserved him, because he is among the sincere servants of Allah, and he was saved from her evil, and praise be to Allah.

The presenter: May Allah reward you.
