Ruling on a woman having her clothes tailored by a male tailor

Question:
Our sister, we are presenting her last question in this episode, in which she says: Is it permissible to have clothes tailored by a male tailor, since women are not present in large numbers, and if they are, they are far from the area where we are?
We ask for guidance. May Allah reward you with good.

Answer:
As for his tailoring for her and touching her, that is not permissible. As for her sending him the measurements and him tailoring, or her husband or son taking her so that she can be tailored, there is nothing wrong with that. As for her attending in person, and him taking the measurements on her and touching her, that is not permissible, and it involves fitnah (trial, discord or temptation) and evil. Likewise, seclusion with him is also a reprehensible matter. But if she sends the clothes to him through the husband, or through the brother, or through another way, along with the measurements so that he can tailor them according to her measurements and sew them, there is nothing wrong with that.
