The ruling on one who went to jihad without his parents' knowledge and was martyred

What is the ruling on one who went to jihad without his parents' knowledge and was martyred, may Allah have mercy on him? Does he fall under the ruling of a mujahid in the path of Allah?

Answer:
We hope for him that, if Allah wills, he is a martyr whose sins are forgiven; because his going without his parents' permission was based on his own ijtihad and a desire for good, and seeking the parents' permission in such a case involves difficulty, so we hope for him great good.
