Question:
Many of our Muslim brothers from East Asia and the Indian subcontinent complain about the poor treatment they receive from committed young men. I fear that this is the cause of their contempt for them and their lack of respect for them, even though they are Muslims. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade that. We ask your Eminence for guidance.
Answer:
It is obligatory for the callers to Allah, wherever they may be, whether they are young, old, or middle-aged, that they be gentle with people and not look down on them. Rather, they must teach them, guide them, and have mercy on them, so that perhaps they will accept from them and perhaps they will find the right path. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said in an authentic hadith:Sunan Abi Dawud 4809Sahih (Al-Albani), and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Al-Adab Al-Mufrad 27:14, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: .
Therefore, it is obligatory for the callers to be gentle with the disbeliever and the sinner, and not to be hasty or harsh. Rather, they should call with that which is best, with gentleness, with wisdom, and by supplicating for their guidance, so that perhaps they may respond. Allah the Exalted said: [Surah al-Nahl: 125], and He the Exalted said: [Al-'Ankabut 29:46] meaning: the Jews and the Christians [Surah al-'Ankabut: 46], meaning: the wrongdoer who transgresses is treated as he deserves. But as long as you are calling them and they have not wronged you, then argue with that which is best, and be gentle with them.
And He the Glorious and Exalted said in describing His Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him): [Surah Al 'Imran: 159], and when Allah sent Musa and Harun to Pharaoh, He said to them: [Surah Ta-Ha: 44].
Therefore, it is obligatory for the callers to Allah in Pakistan, or in Bangladesh, or in India, or anywhere, or in the Kingdom here, or anywhere: gentleness, clear and kind speech, arguing with that which is best, and supplicating for their guidance. A man came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: O Messenger of Allah, the tribe of Daws has rebelled and refused Islam, so supplicate against them. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said:, so Allah guided them and they came to Madinah as Muslims; therefore, gentleness is necessary.

He who is deprived of gentleness is deprived of good.
Whenever there is compassion in something, it adorns it, and whenever it is removed from something it disgraces it.
O Allah, whoever is given authority over any of my Ummah and is gentle with them, be gentle with him. O Allah, whoever is given authority over any of my Ummah and is harsh with them, be harsh with him.
Therefore, it is obligatory for the callers to be gentle with the disbeliever and the sinner, and not to be hasty or harsh. Invite to the way of your Lord with wisdom and good instruction, and argue with them in a way that is best
And do not argue with the People of the Scripture
وَلَا تُجَادِلُوا أَهْلَ الْكِتَابِexcept in a way that is best, except for those who commit injustice among them
And He the Glorious and Exalted said in describing His Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him):
So by mercy from Allah, [O Muhammad], you were lenient with them. And if you had been rude [in speech] and harsh in heart, they would have disbanded from about you.
And speak to him with gentle speech that perhaps he may be reminded or fear [Allah]."
Therefore, it is obligatory for the callers to Allah in Pakistan, or in Bangladesh, or in India, or anywhere, or in the Kingdom here, or anywhere: gentleness, clear and kind speech, arguing with that which is best, and supplicating for their guidance.
