How to Protect Oneself from Sorcery and Jinn

Regarding the jinn or sorcery, Your Eminence?
Answer: Sorcery may occur; sorcery may occur among people, there is no doubt in that. It is mostly the work of the devils of mankind who receive it from the jinn. They tie knots and blow their foul saliva and their Satanic words into them. With the permission of Allah, they may achieve what they desire, as the Exalted and Majestic said:[Al-Falaq 113:1] from the evil of what He created [Surat al-Falaq: 1-2] [Surat al-Falaq: 4]. They are the sorceresses who blow into the knots with foul saliva, foul words, and foul supplications. With the permission of Allah, what they desire may occur, or it may not occur. For this reason, the Exalted said: [Surat al-Baqarah: 102].
So sorcery is a reality that may occur, and it is a great evil. The Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) associated it with shirk (associating partners with Allah). He said (peace and blessings be upon him): Thus he made it a companion of shirk. This is how it came in the two Sahihs from the hadith of Abu Hurayrah. So Allah the Exalted and Majestic said: [Surat al-Baqarah: 102]. It is from the teaching of the devils and their transgression against the children of Adam, their harming them, and their causing them to fall into various types of falsehood.
So the believer should guard against this by the prescribed means of seeking refuge mentioned earlier: Ayat al-Kursi, reciting (Say: He is Allah, the One) and the two chapters of seeking refuge (al-Mu'awwidhatayn) after the prayers, reciting them when going to sleep, and reciting (I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He created). The Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) said:Sahih Muslim 2708a A man came to him and said: And in another hadith, it was said: Whoever says: Sahih Ibn Hibban 7:423 meaning: the poison of poisons. The point is that these means of seeking refuge, which Allah the Exalted and Majestic has made a cause for health and safety from these evils.
So the believer should have strong faith, strong trust in Allah, and good opinion of Allah, along with performing these prescribed recitations and seeking refuge. And Allah the Exalted and Majestic is the Sufficient and the Healer. Glorified and Exalted is He, in His hand is everything. [Surat az-Zumar: 36]. Yes.
The presenter: Is there a cure from verses of the Noble Qur'an for sorcerers or jinn?
The Shaykh: Likewise, regarding the jinn... seeking refuge in Allah from them is a cause of safety. For the jinn are created beings under the care of their Creator, and the One who created them is the One who protects from them, Glorified and Exalted is He. So when a person turns to Allah and seeks refuge in His perfect words from the evil of what He created, He protects him from them and from others. Likewise, Ayat al-Kursi when going to sleep is a cause of safety from them and from others. Likewise, reciting (Say: He is Allah, the One) and the two chapters of seeking refuge are causes of safety from all evil and from the devils as well. So Allah, Glorified is He, is the Creator, and in His hand is the management of affairs, Exalted and Majestic is He. In His hand is harm and benefit, giving and withholding. So what Allah wills comes to be, and what He does not will does not come to be, Glorified and Exalted is He. It has been mentioned regarding the sorcerers that they learn from the sorcery that the devils do and that the devils cast. They do from it what they separate between a man and his wife, meaning: they do things that cause the husband to dislike his wife or her to dislike him, until he divorces her. Then He said after that: [Surat al-Baqarah: 102], meaning: they have no share or portion. [Al-Baqarah 2:102] And if they had believed and feared Allah, a reward from Allah would have been better for them, if only they had known [Surat al-Baqarah: 102-103]. This indicates that it is contrary to taqwa (mindfulness of Allah) and contrary to faith. Yes.
He also stated that it is disbelief (kufr). He said: [al-Baqarah:102]. This indicates that learning sorcery, teaching sorcery, and practicing it is disbelief after faith, may Allah protect us from it; for it only occurs through obeying the Shayatins (devils) and worshipping them instead of Allah. So, when one of the jinn obeys the Shayatins and worships them instead of Allah, they teach him some things that harm people. It is narrated from Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Sunan an-Nasa'i 4079Da'if (Darussalam).
So the point is that sorcery is one of the causes of shirk (associating partners with Allah); because one does not reach it except by worshipping the jinn, calling for their aid, seeking their help, and drawing near to them by slaughtering, making vows, prostrating, or otherwise. For this reason, the scholars ruled that sorcerers are disbelievers. This is the well-known view among the majority of scholars: that every sorcerer is a disbeliever. Whoever is known for sorcery is a disbeliever.
Some scholars said: One should ask about the nature of his sorcery? If he describes something that indicates kufr (disbelief), he becomes a disbeliever. Otherwise, he becomes one of the sinners and one of those who wrong people. In any case, this meaning does not contradict what the majority said, for the intent of the majority is the sorcery for which no causes are known that would distance it from kufr. The sorcerer is mostly a sorcerer by serving the jinn and worshipping the jinn. But if he claims sorcery in something that is not of the nature of sorcery, but it may harm people by another action other than worshipping the jinn, serving the jinn, obeying them, calling for their aid, and the like, such as things he uses from substances that are eaten or drunk or smoked or applied as oil that harm some people, this is from the category of harm, from the category of wrongdoing, from the category of causing pain, not from the category of worshipping the jinn. Yes.
The presenter: May Allah reward you. Please mention the verses that you heard us speaking about once, Your Eminence, the verses that repel sorcery?
The Shaykh: Yes. Some scholars mentioned that among the causes of health from what may touch a person of sorcery, the touch of jinn, and what may also touch him of being prevented from his wife, among the causes of healing from that is: reciting Ayat al-Kursi and blowing with it into water, and al-Fatihah (Surat al-Fatihah) and [Surat al-Kafirun: 1] and [Surat al-Ikhlas: 1] and the two chapters of seeking refuge. If he recites these chapters and noble verses, Ayat al-Kursi, and also recites the verses of sorcery found in Surat al-A'raf, Surat Yunus, and Ta-Ha, that is among the causes of healing if he drinks from the water and rinses his mouth with it. It is among the causes of his safety from sorcery and among the causes of his release from being prevented from his family.
And the verses of al-A'raf are the saying of the Exalted:[Al-A'raf 7:117] So the truth prevailed and what they were doing was nullified. So they were defeated there and returned in disgrace [Surat al-A'raf: 117-119]. These verses in al-A'raf are among the causes of healing by reciting them in water or blowing them on the patient, blowing with them along with al-Fatihah and Ayat al-Kursi and [Surat al-Kafirun: 1] and [Surat al-Ikhlas: 1] and the two chapters of seeking refuge. Either he blows with them on the afflicted person, or he recites them in water and then drinks from it and rinses his mouth with the rest.
And in Surat Yunus, the Exalted and Majestic says:[Yunus 10:79] So when the sorcerers came, Moses said to them: "Cast what you are casting." So when they cast, Moses said: "What you have brought is sorcery. Indeed, Allah will nullify it. Indeed, Allah does not make the work of corrupters right." And Allah establishes the truth with His words, even if the criminals dislike it. [Surat Yunus: 79-82]. Meaning: either he blows with them on him, or he recites them in water and the like.
As for the verses of Ta-Ha, they are the saying of the Exalted:[Taha 20:65] He said: "No, cast. And when their ropes and staffs were shown to him, by their sorcery, that they were moving." So Moses felt fear in his soul. We said: "Do not fear. Indeed, you are the superior." And cast what is in your right hand; it will swallow what they have made. Indeed, what they have made is the scheme of a sorcerer, and the sorcerer will not succeed wherever he comes." [Surat Ta-Ha: 65-69].

They tie knots and blow their foul saliva and their Satanic words into them. With the permission of Allah, they may achieve what they desire, as the Exalted and Majestic said:
Say, "I seek refuge in the Lord of daybreak
And from the evil of the blowers in knots
But they do not harm anyone through it except by permission of Allah. And the people learn what harms them and does not benefit them.
So sorcery is a reality that may occur, and it is a great evil. The Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) associated it with shirk (associating partners with Allah). He said (peace and blessings be upon him):
Avoid the seven destructive sins. We said: What are they, O Messenger of Allah? He said: Associating partners with Allah, and sorcery
And they followed [instead] what the devils had recited during the reign of Solomon. It was not Solomon who disbelieved, but the devils disbelieved, teaching people magic
The Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
When anyone lands at a place, and then says:" I seek refuge in the Perfect Word of Allah from the evil of what He has created," nothing would harm him until he marches from that stopping place.
I encountered such and such this night from the sting of a scorpion -or as the man said- so he (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him: If you had said: I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He has created, it would not have harmed you
I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He has created, three times, the poison will not harm him
So the believer should have strong faith, strong trust in Allah, and good opinion of Allah, along with performing these prescribed recitations and seeking refuge. And Allah the Exalted and Majestic is the Sufficient and the Healer. Glorified and Exalted is He, in His hand is everything.
Is not Allah sufficient for His Servant

He also stated that it is disbelief (kufr). He said:
But the two angels do not teach anyone unless they say, "We are a trial, so do not disbelieve
