Causes of Protection from Sorcery

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
This questioner says: Your Eminence, how can a person protect himself from sorcery before it happens? And what is the treatment for it? May you be rewarded.

Answer:
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon the Messenger of Allah, and upon his family and his Companions, and upon whoever follows his guidance. As for what follows:
It is prescribed for every Muslim to protect himself from evil through the lawful forms of seeking refuge that Allah has legislated for His servants, whether against sorcery or otherwise. He is commanded to seek refuge in Allah. Among these is seeking refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He has created, three times in the morning and three times in the evening. Among them is saying: In the name of Allah, with Whose name nothing on earth or in the sky can cause harm, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing, three times in the morning and three times in the evening. All of this is among the causes of well-being from all evil, as the hadiths from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) have stated.
Among these is reciting Ayat al-Kursi after every prayer and when going to sleep; it is also among the causes of well-being and safety. Among them is reciting
Say, "He is Allah, [who is] One,قل هو الله أحد
[Al-Ikhlas 112:1]
and the two Mu'awwidhat (chapters of seeking refuge) three times in the morning and three times in the evening, which is among the causes of well-being from all evil. Reciting these three chapters when going to sleep, along with blowing into the hands when going to sleep and wiping the head, face, and chest, all of this is among the causes of well-being from all evil, from sorcery and otherwise.
And so with the rest of the supplications: O Allah, I ask You for well-being in this world and the Hereafter, as in the hadith where he (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Ask Allah for well-being in this world and the Hereafter, for no one has been given a good or better than well-being.سلوا الله العافية في الدنيا والآخرة، فما أعطي أحد خيرًا وأفضل من العافية
or as he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: O Allah, I seek refuge in You from all evil. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from every disease. I seek refuge in You from everything that angers You, or O Allah, I seek refuge in You from everything that harms me.
The point is: seek refuge in Allah from all evil, but using the lawful forms of seeking refuge that are in the Shari'ah is better.

The presenter: May Allah reward you.
