What is the interpretation of this verse (abiding therein as long as the heavens and the earth remain)?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
In the saying of Allah the Exalted in Surat Hud: (abiding therein as long as the heavens and the earth remain), what is the interpretation of this verse?

Answer:
Yes, Allah (Mighty and Majestic) said: (But as for those who have earned evil, their refuge will be the Fire. Whenever they try to escape from it, they will be brought back to it. And it will be said to them, “Taste the punishment of the Burning Fire!” * Abiding therein as long as the heavens and the earth remain, except for what your Lord wills.) This means they are made to abide in it eternally, because the heavens and the earth continue to exist permanently in the Hereafter. The heavens that are replaced, the heavens and the earth are replaced by others, so the intended meaning is the type of heavens, not the specific heavens themselves. So the disbeliever abides in it forever and does not come out of it. As for the Muslim, if he enters it because of the sins for which he deserved entering the Fire, he does not abide in it eternally except for what Allah wills, because it is a temporary abiding, unlike the disbeliever whose abiding, may Allah protect us from it, is eternal. And this is the intended meaning, namely in the case of the disobedient Muslim. (Except for what your Lord wills) means in the case of the disobedient Muslim.
