Question:
Is it permissible for a woman to go to the mosque while menstruating to offer condolences to women?

Answer:
Answer: One does not enter the mosque except as a passerby. If she is passing through and not sitting down, there is no harm in that. It is permissible for a menstruating woman or one in a state of major ritual impurity to pass through the mosque for a need, such as to take something from the mosque, or to ask someone in the mosque, or something similar, provided she is merely passing through. He (Exalted and Majestic is He) said: (O you who believe! Do not approach prayer while you are intoxicated until you know what you are saying, nor in a state of major ritual impurity, except as passersby, until you have washed).
