Question:
Allah, Glorified and Exalted is He, says, "And Allah protects you from the people." How do I reconcile this verse with the fact that the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) was subjected to sorcery?
Answer:
Answer: May Allah protect you from people. They will not prevent you or stand between you and conveying the message. As for whoever intends you harm, Allah the Exalted said: . As for the fact that he is afflicted with illness, or with sorcery, or with what befalls people, he is a human being (peace and blessings be upon him); he gets sick and becomes hungry. He was afflicted with sorcery, but Allah cured him of it; Jibril (peace be upon him) recited a ruqyah over him until he was healed from it. He is a human being (peace and blessings be upon him), and what befalls human beings befalls him.
