Ruling on the use of medicinal suppositories by a fasting person

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q360: The questioner asks: What is the ruling on using medicinal capsules or suppositories for hemorrhoids via the rectum while fasting for an obligatory fast, or a voluntary fast?
A360: It is not permissible for you to use them while you are fasting; because these suppositories
dissolve and go to the stomach, they mix with the intestines, the intestines absorb them, and they circulate in the body, so it is not permissible for a fasting person to use suppositories. As for voluntary fasting, if you need treatment, use them and do not fast voluntarily. As for the obligatory fast, do not use them except in case of dire necessity, and make up that day; because you are sick and in need of treatment, and a sick person is permitted to break his fast and make up the days from other days.
