The first question of Fatwa number ( 18254 )
Q1: With the will of Allah the Exalted, I will perform 'Umrah at the beginning of Ramadan, with the intention for Allah on behalf of my father (may Allah have mercy on him), and my mother will also arrive at the same time to perform 'Umrah. The question is: my mother is an elderly woman and cannot move on her own, so I will be with her in a wheelchair during the tawaf and sa'y. Will the rites of 'Umrah be valid for me, or should I help my mother until she finishes her 'Umrah, and then I perform the 'Umrah on behalf of my father by doing the tawaf and sa'y alone?
A1 : There is no harm in holding the cart that your mother rides in during
the tawaf and sa'y, and intending the tawaf and sa'y on behalf of your father while she intends them for herself at the same time, based on the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):Sahih al-Bukhari 1 . And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
