Leaving the shaving in 'Umrah

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa number ( 18007 )
Q: I performed a voluntary 'Umrah on the twenty-seventh night of Ramadan, and after
completing the tawaf and sa'y, I finished the rest of the tarawih prayer with the Muslim congregation. However, I fainted due to exhaustion and the heavy crowd. After that, I left the Haram and forgot to shave or shorten my hair. What is obligatory for me?

A: If you left the shaving in 'Umrah, it is obligatory for you, if you remember, to put on the ihram garments again, then shave your head or shorten all of it. If you had intercourse with your wife before shaving, it is obligatory for you to slaughter a fidyah in the Haram, to be distributed to the poor of the Haram. It is a sheep that qualifies as an 'Id sacrifice. If you do not find one, fast for ten days. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
