Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The second question of Fatwa number ( 20514 )
Q2: A man died before the setting of the sun on the last day of Ramadan, and another died after the setting. Which of the two is obligated to pay zakat , namely: Zakat al-Fitr?
A2 : The one who died before the setting of the sun on the night of 'Id al-Fitr is not obligated to pay Zakat al-Fitr; because it becomes obligatory with the setting of the sun on that night, and he died before the obligation. The one who died after the setting is obligated to pay Zakat al-Fitr; because he died after the obligation. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
