After that: The Permanent Committee for Scholarly Research and Ifta has reviewed what was sent to His Eminence the Grand Mufti from the questioner, the Director of Civil Affairs in the province of al-Ahsa, via the honorable head of the courts of the province of al-Ahsa, and referred to the Committee by the General Secretariat of the Council of Senior Scholars with number (8529) and date 1/8/1424 AH. He asked a question, the text of which is as follows: The citizen Ahmad ibn Kazim ibn Khalifa al-Awadh, holder of ID number (....), submitted a request to register the birth of his son, born at the Maternity Hospital in al-Ahsa on 19/5/1424 AH, according to the attached birth notification copy. He wishes to name him (Nasr Allah), and many citizens and residents wish to name their sons with similar names.
such as (Fadl Allah, Jar Allah, Dayyuf Allah, Jad Allah, Manah Allah, Kheir Allah, Habib Allah, Gharim Allah, Fath Allah). Therefore, we hope that you will kindly review and inform us about these mentioned names, and whether it is permissible to name them with them from the Sharia perspective or not?
A: After the Committee studied the inquiry, it answered that there is no Sharia objection to naming a person with the name: (Nasr Allah, and Jar Allah ...) up to the end of what was mentioned in the question of the Director of Civil Affairs in the province of al-Ahsa, except for: Gharim Allah, as it is better not to name with it; due to the misleading implication in it.
