Naming with the names Rylan, Rylad, and Tamara

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Praise be to Allah alone, and may peace and blessings be upon the one after whom there is no prophet. After that: The Permanent Committee for Scholarly Research and Ifta has reviewed what was sent to His Eminence the Grand Mufti from the honorable head of the courts of the
Jawf region in its letters numbered (2989/1) and (2991/1), dated 29/7/1430 AH, accompanied by letters from His Excellency the General Manager of the Civil Affairs Branch in the Jawf region numbered (2422) dated 25/7/1430 AH and numbered (2418) dated 22/7/1430 AH, which were referred to the Committee by the General Secretariat of the Council of Senior Scholars with numbers (1206) and (1207) and dated 13/8/1430 AH. His Excellency asked in them about the ruling on naming with the names (Rylan, Rylad, Tamara).

After the Committee studied the matter, it answered: There is no objection to naming with these names; because the default ruling for names that do not involve worship of other than Allah, do not have an ugly meaning, and do not imply self-praise is permissibility. It is recommended for the Muslim to strive for good Arabic names, whether for boys or girls; because that is part of excellence in treating them. And Allah knows best.
